Description:  NS CW40-9 8964 and an ex-Conrail CW40-8 bring Westbound Intermodal train 217 through the work limits in Glen Lyn, VA. There was a 10mph slow order from P-D Junction to Lurich because of MOW work in the area. NS was replacing a bridge just West of Glen Lyn and you can see a Crane lift a huge steel Girder off of a truck and will place it on a railroad flat car sitting on the siding.

Description:  NS 8370. a former Conrail CW40-8 leads a Toccoa to Spartanburg local out of the yard in Toccoa, GA in front of the former Southern Railway passenger station. A railfan looks on in front of the station. I dont know who this guy is, but he was out in the middle of the mainline standing and taking pictures a few minutes earlier. Not the mansion up on the mountain in the distance.

Description:  NS 9420 and 5 other units lead a long empty coal hopper train Westbound on track 2 bound for Auville Yard in Iaeger, WV over the massive viaduct at Coopers, WV. These longer than normal trains of empties with many units end up being broken up into smaller trains for mine runs. An eastbound Autorack train passes on track 1 in the background. The track in the foreground is the abandoned former N&W Bluestone branch which still exists but has been abandoned and out of service since 1988. This portion of the trackage has been used for car storage off and on for several years until recently.
