CSX CW40-8 7873 and CW44-9049 lead a loaded unit phosphate train through the interlocking at Cordele, GA. Cordele is fairly unique in that 3 railroads cross at grade at the same diamond. The track in the foreground is the former SAL Savannah to Columbus mainline, now Heart of Georgia RR, the double track line is the former Southern Railway Macon to Valdosta mainline, now NS, and the track the CSX train is on is the former ACL Atlanta to Waycross mainline, now CSX. |
