CSX 2516
Title:  CSX 2516
Description:  CSX Y225 with GP38-2 2516 cross the Hillsborough River. This bascule bridge built by the ACL in 1915. If you look close you can see the bridgetender in the tenders house. This bridge once saw dozens of movements a day but now sees usually just 1 movement a day and is only manned as necessary. The line to Port Tampa goes right through downtown Tampa and there is a short stretch of street running involved. The A-Line now officially ends at the Tampa Union Station leat at milepost A881.7, although it continues another 8.3 miles to old Port Tampa at A890.0 where it hits Tampa Bay. This last 8 miles of track is now known as the Port Tampa Spur.

CSX 4310
Title:  CSX 4310
Description:  CSX O701 about to leave St. Petersburg Yard with 2 motors and 15 cars, mostly loaded aggregate hoppers. The crew reported that the 4310 would not load in reverse, so the ex-Conrail GP38-2 2704 was doing all the work on reverse moves. St Petersburg Yard now consists of 2 yard tracks, of which only 1 is used except in rare occasions. Mostly used as a run-around track actually. This was once a good sized coach yard and shops where all St. Petersburg bound passenger trains terminated and were serviced. The entire yard and shops complex was abandoned in 1984 when Amtrak discontinued service to St. Petersburg. A Home Depot now sits on the site of the former yard.

CSX 4310
Title:  CSX 4310
Description:  Something you dont see every day while railfannning. CSXT O702 which is the Clearwater to Tampa local runs across the Clearwater municipal golf course. O702 is a semi-daily local which runs Clearwater to Tampa once daily each way. Today GP39-2 4310 and GP38-2 2704 do the duties. Power is typically 1 or 2 GP39-2's depending on train lengths. The Clearwater Sub is at it's low point as far as train traffic goes. Historically the line hosted as many as 6 passenger trains each way daily and many local and transfer freights. It is now down to O700 the Clearwater to St. Pete local and the O701 Clearwater to Tampa Local.
