| Description: |
NS 9420 and 5 other units lead a long empty coal hopper train Westbound on track 2 bound for Auville Yard in Iaeger, WV over the massive viaduct at Coopers, WV. These longer than normal trains of empties with many units end up being broken up into smaller trains for mine runs. An eastbound Autorack train passes on track 1 in the background. The track in the foreground is the abandoned former N&W Bluestone branch which still exists but has been abandoned and out of service since 1988. This portion of the trackage has been used for car storage off and on for several years until recently. |
